Best Islands To Visit

The top three islands in the Caribbean that should be visited by everyone who vacations in the region are St. Lucia, St. Maarten, and Barbados. This is based on the recommendation of people who know me well because I have been there and done that (I live in the Caribbean) and know the islands inside and out. If you don’t know anyone who has traveled to these islands, then just take my word for it that they are best if you want clear waters, fantastic beaches, relaxing lounges, tropical weather, and a laid-back vibe.

St. Lucia – this island is so unique that it ranks right up there as the top three destinations when it comes to Caribbean island vacations. It has wonderful white sand beaches with turquoise blue water and plenty of diving options. The surrounding reefs are full of fish, mangrove forests, and more. You can even rent a boat and go deep-sea fishing or dolphin watching (you can’t miss this! ).

St. Maarten – this island is known as the most cosmopolitan island in the Caribbean. It’s full of French and Dutch style amenities and you will feel it when visiting this island. There are lots of resorts and hotels that cater to travelers looking to have the time of their lives. You can spend a whole day at the beach or relax by the pool or even do some nighttime shopping. In fact, there are actually some really cool shops that open until the wee hours (closed during the day).

Barbados – this is another island on my top three list of top destinations to plan a vacation to. The island is smaller than St. Lucia but is packed full of sunny, white sandy beaches, lots of diving options, and great restaurants. It also has a smaller-sized airport that is only used for small planes and helicopters. You can spend your entire vacation just visiting the beaches or do some serious snorkeling in the ocean. Some resorts offer rentals for honeymooners and can be a great way to save money if you aren’t staying at one of the larger resorts on the coast.

Grand Cayman – this is a little island located in the Caribbean near the United States border. This small country is known for its diving and snorkeling, but you will also find some amazing wrecks to explore. The waters of Grand Cayman are warm and they provide an excellent place for families to enjoy a nice, quiet, sandy vacation. It’s one of the best beaches for scuba diving and you will find some of the best reefs in the world here.

Bonaire/St. Lucia – these two tropical destinations make up what is known as the Caribbean coral coast. If you love the sound of water crashing onto rocks then you will love visiting these two destinations. They have great, private island resorts that cater to travelers who want a quiet, relaxing vacation with no crowd. You will find perfect snorkeling, diving, and other water activities here.

The Bahamas – this area of the world is known for its beautiful beaches, warm water, and top-notch diving. Many of the islands have private island resort resorts that cater to vacationers who want a relaxing stay, but there are also resorts that rent boats for boating. It’s one of the best islands to visit if you enjoy water sports, and the waters are warm year-round so you will be sure to stay warm when you take your next trip out to enjoy the waters and the reefs that you will see.

If you visit just one of these islands you will have an unforgettable vacation. These are just a few of the best islands to visit when you visit the Florida Keys. No matter what your interest or taste is, you will find many places to visit here that you will enjoy. You may find that you prefer one of the Florida Keys over another, so plan your next vacation early so that you can make the most of your time and money. The beautiful islands of Florida Keys will offer you everything you come to see and do, and you will also have a great time on your tropical vacation.
